IBM links Linux to mainframes

This week, Big Blue did its share to burnish the

corporate image of Linux, announcing the availability of DB2 Universal Database for Linux on IBM zSeries and S/390 mainframes, two versions of its WebSphere Applications Server for those same systems, and a version of Extended Enterprise Edition for Linux that works with Intel-based clusters.
